Our Process

Our process began with the outward-facing elements: hoardings and advertising collaterals. These set the visual tone for the festival, combining regional colors, block-print-inspired patterns, and handcrafted textures to communicate vibrancy and cultural depth.

These assets were designed to be bold, clear, and easily adaptable across multiple formats: roadside banners, digital invites, press backdrops, and social media stories.

For this year’s edition, I was responsible for designing the entire set of visual collaterals for the festival- including hoardings, banners, signage, decor elements, and digital creatives. The design approach aimed to reflect the vibrancy, warmth, and earthy richness of the museum's identity while harmonizing it with the visual language of kutch and Odisha.

  • This involved designing custom tent fabric motifs that drew from the textile traditions of both kutch and Odisha, creating a visual dialogue between the two regions.

  • For the museum walls, we developed a series of illustrations featuring cultural symbols and festive scenes, adding warmth and narrative to the space.

  • Food stall banners were designed using a vibrant local color palette and bilingual typography to ensure accessibility and regional character.

  • We also created laser-cut jaalis — decorative panels that echoed traditional architectural forms.

Conclusion

Working on the LLDC Winter Festival felt less like designing for an event and more like being invited into a living world of stories, hands, and traditions. Every colour, pattern and motif carried a community’s pride, translating all of that into a visual language became a deeply personal process. This project will always stay close to my heart for how it made me feel connected to something much larger than myself.
