Introduction

Gharsa is a branding and packaging project developed during my third year in college. The brief was to build a ready-to-eat vegan food brand. So, born out of a longing for comfort and familiarity amidst the hustle of urban life, Gharsa is a ready-to-eat vegan meal brand inspired by the diverse regional cuisines of India, designed for modern, conscious consumers.

The identity draws from the emotional familiarity of ghar ka khana, using a bold Devanagari wordmark housed within a structured frame inspired by the classic Indian dabba.

The visual language for Gharsa is built on the idea of celebrating India’s regional food culture through bold, contemporary design. The packaging uses a vibrant, loud colour palette combined with region-specific artforms, ensuring each product not only looks striking but also feels deeply rooted in its place of origin.
